Not since those heady days of the 1960’s Mods and Ben Sherman’s World famous ‘Millions Of Shirts’ shop in Brighton and his move to the centre of the Mod World in London’s swinging Carnaby Street and Kings Road, has there been such excitement about the brand.
Forget the old Mod, this is Future Mod!
Old-established Baird Group, or more precisely BMB Clothing, bought the brand in February 2016 and immediately set about a redesign and re-marketing of Ben Sherman. The result is an invigorating re-launch that now has Ben Sherman standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Pretty Green, Farah Vintage and even Lyle & Scott (othe Mod brands are also available).
The new Ben Sherman Spring/Summer 2018 collection just landed and it is pretty impressive. The Ben Sherman logo is new, the collection is forward-looking and fresh, yet still retains the unmistakable look of Mod!
From selvedge denim to the newly styled Ben Sherman harrington jacket and technical parka jacket, this collection just oozes style. Yet, like any Ben Sherman collection of old, the strength lies in the superb selection of shirts and T Shirts, with a healthy smattering of button down 2-finger collars and Paisley pattern on slim-fitting shirts, perfectly complementing a cool selection of T Shirts displaying the new logo, or psychedelic images and patterns reminiscent of the late 1960’s to early 1970’s, Beatle mania and free love! Tree huggers beware! This new collection is super cool!
